Melody is a GAANN Fellow in the Biology PhD Program. Under the guidance of Dr. Sawicki and Dr. Chang, she’s hoping to investigate the ways neuromuscular fatigue influences patterns of motor coordination in the lower limb. The goal of this research is to better characterize the underlying mechanisms and implications of neuromuscular fatigue, so that clinical populations and athletes can optimize their rehabilitation and training, respectively.
In her free time, Melody enjoys playing the bass, rollerblading around campus, and taking her cat Macaroni on walks.
