Dr. Mohammadali Rahmati
Postdoctoral Fellow, School of Biological Sciences, Georgia Institute of Technology (2023 - Present)
Postdoc in Neuromechanics, Georgia Institute of Technology - Biomechanics and Motor Control Lab (2023)
Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering (Biomechanics), Amirkabir University of Technology (2018)
M.S. in Biomedical Engineering (Biomechanics), Iran University of Science and Technology (2012)

As a Postdoctoral Fellow at Georgia Institute of Technology, Mohammadali’s research focuses on computational biomechanics, particularly movement biomechanics. He applies his analytical and programming skills to study neuromechanical interactions in healthy and pathological conditions. Currently, he is developing a musculoskeletal model of the rat hindlimb, following his previous research on the cat hind and forelimb, as part of his broader efforts to understand the role of motion-dependent sensory feedback in locomotion control. Through his research and collaborations, Mohammadali aims to support clinical decision-making in orthopedics and neural trauma, medical technologies, and physical therapy.
In his spare time, Mohammadali enjoys hiking, engaging in thought-provoking puzzles, and participating in insightful debates.
