Cassie Shriver

Ph.D. Student, Quantitative Biosciences, School of Biological Sciences (2021 - present)
B.S.E. Mechanical Engineering, Biology Minor, Certificate in Marine Science Conservation and Leadership, Duke University (2021)
Cassie is a NSF GRFP fellow in the Quantitative Bioscience PhD program co-advised by Dr. Young-Hui Chang and Dr. David Hu. Her research interests include comparative biomechanics with an emphasis on conservation applications. In collaboration with Zoo Atlanta, she studies mammalian climbing with a focus on quantifying biomechanics in the context of reducing musculoskeletal stresses.
In her free time, Cassie enjoys rock climbing, playing soccer, and playing board games.
